Join Todd McLaughlin, RYT, LMT, for a specialized yoga class designed to enhance flexibility and prevent common muscle injuries in tennis players. With 30 years of yoga practice and 25 years as a massage therapist trained in Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) and related modalities, Todd brings a wealth of anatomical knowledge to help you move smarter and stay injury-free.
In this targeted session, we’ll focus on improving flexibility in areas prone to strain, including:
- Shoulders (Rotator Cuff Muscles): Enhance mobility for stronger serves and volleys.
- Forearms and Wrists: Relieve tension from repetitive gripping and strokes.
- Calves and Achilles Tendon: Support agility and quick directional changes.
- Quadriceps, Hamstrings, and Hip Flexors: Strengthen and lengthen for better movement across the court.
- Lower Back: Maintain a strong and supple spine for improved rotation and stroke mechanics.
We will utilize specific resistance stretching techniques that are proven to improve flexibility and range of motion, ensuring a more effective and targeted practice.
