Michael is teaching 3 Meditation classes: August 13th, 20th & 27th. Register for all 3 for only $65.

A meditation cushion will be provided. If you need a chair, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR.

1.First Evening August 13, 7:30-9:00pm

Why Meditate? The Four Immeasurables: Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity.

The Three Elements of Practice: Posture, Breath and Mind

2. Second Evening Tuesday August 20, 7:30-9:00pm

Refining the Practice with Vipashyana. The Four Foundations of Mindfulness: Body, Effort, Life and Mind

3. Third Evening Tuesday August 27, 7:30-9:00pm

Refining the Practice in Tantra. Integrating meditation with Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Asana

Each evening includes short periods of mediation practice and a talk about the practice. Handouts are included in the course.

Biography of the Instructor, Michael J. Shea, PhD

Dr. Shea has been a practicing Buddhist since 1980. He received a Master’s Degree in Buddhist and Western Psychology from the Naropa University in 1986. He became a formal student of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2005. Dr. Shea maintains a daily practice with Shamatha-Vipashyana and teaches internationally in the field of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
