Spring Detox with Ayurveda 
Late winter and spring are a time for cleansing qualities, increasing circulation, and elimination of winter build-up. We will discuss recipes and food choices, gentle yoga and breathing exercises, and home remedies for building the digestive fire, mobilizing digestive organs, and clearing out stagnation. Come prepared to do a little yoga.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Improv Class
We’ll be doing detail on footwork and legwork to start in this all-levels class. Drawing on the Ashtanga system we will move into a fun and accessible sequence of postures from the primary and intermediate series. Finish it off with detail work on headstand and learn how to increase inversion time safely.

Food, Mind, and Mood: The Sattvic Diet
Ayurveda describes the healing powers of food for balancing moods and overall mental wellness. The Mahagunas, Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas, are the energies at play in the mind. Learn how they work, why they are important, and how a state of mental calm clarity and emotional health are cultivated through the Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle.  Get take-home tools for managing the mind and moods in daily living, cooking, and eating.

BIO
Kate ODonnell is the author of three books on Ayurveda. An avid interest in the healing powers of food and yoga has fueled her work for over twenty years. She is a Boston/Portland-based senior Ashtanga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner, and on faculty for The Boston Ayurveda School and the Kripalu Center.
